    Pamelen,

As an avid cook and baker I use Epicurious.com for a ton of recipes (it is the free web site for both Bon Appetit and Gourmet magazines). You can just type in "pumpkin roll" and numerous recipes will appear with both reader ratings and comments. I use it all the time. Good luck!

    Re: Pumpkin Roll

Thanks uhodgkr! I did try various web searches, but not this one! I just couldn't find a recipe that suited me! Can't wait to look!

I went to that new Wegman's on 57 last week. I usually use the small locally owned store. Imagine my surprise to see this super sized grocery store! Everything you'd ever want was there! I needed nutmeg nuts, and sea salt and pepper grinders, and they had both.

I'd like to say I need to get out  more, but I'm not so sure. I could spend a fortune in a store like that! lol!

I didn't find it in Epicurious, but I did find one in allrecipes.com. It's a lot of fun to look through these cooking websites. I also like to watch cooking shows occasionally. I should check Martha Stewart's website too. It's that time of the year to cook again!

Foodtv.com (the Food Network web site) and Foodandwine.com (Food and Wine Magazine's site) are great as well. My personal distaste for Martha Stewart makes me not want to go to her site. ;-)

I love cooking and I'm thrilled that I get to do Thanksgiving dinner at my house this year. I've been planning the menu for the better part of 2 months now.

    Re: Pumpkin Roll

I just went to Epicurious.com and found at least 2 pumpkin roll recipes. The one from the Nov. 1995 Bon Appetit (with the toffee cream filling) I've made and everyone loved--even those who are not partial to pumpkin pie. The other one with cream cheese filling (Bon Appetit, Jul 1995) is also good.

Thanks, I'll have to look again. I don't know why one didn't come up for me. I tried spelling it a couple different ways too.

I think I may be cooking dinner this year too. Plus my mom will have dinner at her house. There is another place we've been going, but this year we are sadly unable to go, so I will have to hold them in my heart, which I do everyday anyways. Those things called heart strings are very real.

Why don't you like Martha? Do you think she's mean? I seem to be catching her show lately in the morning. She has some good tips.
