Hmmmmm......... Why is that?
Because TROPICAL STORM FAY [nace name Tropical Storm FAY = a ladies name and like some women..... Can't make up HER MIND = if she ever did have a mind = can't decide to go NORTH, EAST, WEST, or just PARK IT IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA..... Ohhhh yeah..... Maybe go for a swim = 3 times allready SHE went for a swim and 3 times she came back to the STATE OF FLORIDA MAINLAND = Maybe this time she is looking for some LAKE to go and swim in....  Florida had many LAKES FAY can go swim in..  BUT the part of FLORIDA they live in is the BRANDENTON AREA [the next county over is SARASOTA] and all they got was some RAIN & WINDS but not all that much of a problem.....
AND for the past week i have been glued to THE NATIONAL WEATHER WEB SITE = http://radar.weather.gov/ =  LOOKING UP CLOSE TO THEIR WEATHER DOPPLER LOOPS TO SEE WHERE IT WAS GOING so i could phone them [why phone them when they can watch the TV = OOPS.... forgot to pay the CABLE BILL] so i phoned them to let them know where FAY was heading.... BUT trying to figure out this CRAZY LADY FAY..... Ohhh well..... Like some ladies.... US guys can never figure them out so why bother.
ALSO was using this service as well to see what the NASTY WEATHER BULLETINS WERE FOR THE STORM....

NOW FOR MYSELF..... Living up in a 12 story apartment [i'm on the 10th floor up] it gets pretty interesting to see the THUNDERSTORMS HAPPEN.... To see the low laying clouds go by and the bolt of lightning that comes from the low slow moving cloud puts a different way to see the lightening bolt hit something.... UNLIKE BEING ON THE GROUND AND YOU SWEAR IT'S A MILE OR MORE LONG BOLT..... It's only really a short 20 to maybe 50 footer bolt emminating from the low hanging cloud to ground strike...
AND YES being up 10 floors from the ground.... You can actually see beautiful sunsets when the sun is halfway down past the line of sight horizon.... NOT much in the way of TREES & SHRUBS 10 floors up to bother your great sight of sunsets....
