(3 should be the charm here...)
I've tried to express my support for Maureen Green, and the sudden end of her employment on channel 5. I may be in the right area now. (?)!
I understand she's worked in this area for over 20 years. Doing a search on her name shows all the local support she has. Channel 5 is going down the drain. First Matt, now Maureen. (It would be good to see them as a team somewhere again.) I'm sure there are many things going on behind the scenes here. It appears they are trying to get rid of all the senior people. Save money, lose viewers and public support. I, for one, am not looking for an actor to present the news. I like a local person who lives with us and knows how to speak to us about important things we care about.
I, like many people I know, skip around the different local channels for our news and weather. In the end, it's who you enjoy listening to that matters. I do find myself watching channel 9 the most. It may be that when I went to each news set-up at the State Fair, the channel 9 group was the friendliest, and real. This stuff comes through to the viewers, and the station managers should put this on the top of their broadcasting list.
I hope to see Maureen in the future, she has the experience and connection so few ever achieve in their career.
Good luck Maureen!
