    Re: Dealer Services Warranty

My experience is that this company would not respond to me after I cancelled the policy on which I had made a $395 credit card deposit to begin an extended auto warranty.  After 7 weeks, I received a notice on my bank statement that they credited my account with $370.  They would not quit pestering me while I was considering the agreement.  After I had reviewed and cancelled the warranty agreement, they did not extend me the courtesy of informing me of the status of the cancellation and refund.  It is about what I expected after reviewing their warranty.  I suppose that I have learned a good lesson!  I hope that this communication will serve as a warrning to others considering their services.

    Re: Dealer Services Warranty

Alot of people are confusing Dealer Services or National Auto Warranty Services in Wentzville, MO with other companies. They do NOT dial outbound to their customers. The best way to figure out who is calling you is to do something like this:

    1. Answer the call and play along, act interested.

    2. The first person you talk to is likely just screening calls, so agree to speak with a specialist or sales person

    3. Go through the sales pitch and tell them you need to call them back with your credit card

    4. Get the callback number and post it here, I'll check back over the next few days. I can check as to who the phone number belongs to and verify it with the utility company.

Re: Dealer Services Warranty Here is their phone# and person's name

I had to scam this info from one of the telemarketers, pretending I was interested and wanted to talk to husband and call back with signing up.

Telephone # is 1-888-664-5275. Person in charge is Jessica DeCaprio. I called there on 6/25/08 and advised that I don't have a car take me off the list. That I was on the 'no call list' that was good until today and it started all over again! Now I will report to the Attorney General. I understand there are active suits against this scheme.

Go ahead and nag Jessica DeCaprio! she the bigwig there.

edit: I just called Jessica's office again and advise about putting the number and name on the web, they weren't happy:)

Re: Dealer Services Warranty Here is their phone# and person's name

    Hi folks

I am one of you..one of the people so very annoyed by these calls. I have been receiving them since about April. Sometimes 2 calls a day to my cell phone, which IS on the donotcall.gov list.

Today they called twice. On the second call I was able to get through to a human. I have done this a couple times in an effort to solicit more information. Using the information from EnoughAlready I was much more successful today to get good information.

    Dealer Services

    1-888-282-3524  ext 4207

She said her name was Jessica (as posted above). I was able to get the number by telling her my cell phone was too static-ridden and I needed to call her back. She provided the number and extension above and it worked! I went straight to Jessica. When she answered I asked "Is this Jessica DeCaprio?" And she said, "yes it is!". When I told her "thanks for that info, now I know who is spamming me" she said "decaprio isn't my real last name". lol  Too late Jessica!!!

No doubt they are busy changing extensions right now. But for the moment, it works...it goes directly to her.

I called back again and managed to get a few other names:

    Jessica - Sales

    Jason - Operator

    Christen - Financial Manager

Unfortunately I do not have extensions for the last two.

I googled the 888 number above and found that they sponsored the Danville Little League team...how cute. The Danville Little League team was nice enough to post the names and addresses of all their sponsors!!

    http://www.danvillelittleleague.com/Page.asp?n=7681&org=danvillelittleleague.com

    Pacific Guard Warranty
    25 Crescent Drive Suite A538
    Pleasant Hill, CA  94523
    888-282-3524

    :-)

Now, here's what you all need to do...

File a complaint with the BBB:

    https://odr.bbb.org/odrweb/public/GetStarted.aspx

File a complaint with the FCC (ESPECIALLY if you are on the donotcall.gov list):

    http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm

Be sure to write down the numbers they have called you from. Reference the names, number and extensions I have listed above. Try to document at least four dates/times they have called. Enter all this into the complaint forms. BE HONEST. Don't be spiteful. The more honest we all are, the more hope we have to slam this operation into the ground and be done with it.

Finally, SPREAD THIS POST. Copy and paste this to every other site you see complaining about this harassment. WE MUST ACT TOGETHER. Let's leverage the internet to rally ourselves together. If you do a google search on this complain you will find dozens and dozens of sites and forums like this one, with similar threads. THIS IS EFFECTING THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE. Let's put a stop to it!!

    Good luck to you all.

    Cheers,

    -Dave

Great work, Dave!!! You really have them nailed big time. I've been searching web for other fedup people to post telephone number and names. I called all the legit Dealer Services who have been mistakenly thought as the source of these abusive telemarketing phone calls and gave them Jessica DeCaprio's name and phone number. The companies were very happy and eager to have the information and will pass it on to the other abused that call them  These companies are very upset about what Jessica's telemarketing group have been doing to people and are very grateful to get the name and number to distribute to other victims of these annoying calls.

Great info, Dave, and congrats on scamming the scammer!!

    Re: Dealer Services Warranty

I just started getting these calls the last few days.  I stayed on and asked a bunch of questions, this is who I was talking to.
Paul Banks @ 1-866-945-9255  he said I could get all the info I needed from www.dealerservices.info (I wasn't able to get on the site as it was temporarily not avilable!!)
At first I called my dealership who had, of course, never heard of them, so I phoned 'Paul' back and he acted furious that they said they couldn't honor a warranty from them.  I gave 'Paul' my dealerships phone number and the name of the guy to call and he quickly phoned me back with some ficticious names and policies that were named differently in canada than what he had on file from the states.  I forwarded all this information on to the fraud dept of our local police.

    BE AWARE

    http://ago.mo.gov/newsreleases/2008/National_crackdown_on_telemarketing_fraud_includes_three_cases_filed_by_Nixon/

I think this Vandiver dude gets paid to make happy posts about the company.Automobile

100 Mall Parkway/Wentzville, MO/63385   or 200 Mall Parkway/Wentzville, MO/63385 are the addresses of the company. The names are U.S. Fidelis; NAWS; National Auto Warranty Services, Dealer Services.

Customer service number is 1-800-649-1856....some of these people are innocent and just have to do their job. However, lots of rude people seem to find jobs there. Laci Williams is the Manager over Customer service; however I doubt you will get to talk to her if you ask as no managers take phone calls at that company.

While I worked for this company, the automatic dialer would call FAX numbers, Hospital Rooms, Strip Joints, Lines that were truncated inside businesses, Churches, Numbers reserved for 9-1-1, Nursing Homes, .........YOU NAME IT.......

The owners of this company are in trouble with the Missouri Attorney General for abusing DO NOT CALL lists; and various unethical practices. The people who work there are either salaried and PUSHED - PUSHED to SELL SELL SELL or do so because they only work on commission.

The company has a department that is called account resolutions and their job is to SAVE every policy that is attempting to be cancelled. They haggle with the customer and use high pressure in an attempt to keep them from cancelling. They are paid commission and their management requires them to build value in the warranty, offer a reduced cost. They must make 3 attempts to keep the customer before they cancel themor they get reprimanded (all calls are recorded---they have a group of people that their job is just to listen to the calls).

    Re: Dealer Services Warranty

Holy smokes! I just got a post card in the mail and already I knew it was a scam. What tipped me off was two things:
    1. The sender didn't use my real name, but a nickname
    2. I don't own a car
I called and had some fun with their minds. Perhaps I will call again later and have some more.

    Re: Dealer Services Warranty

I really need some help here. I've been stupid and thought that this was legit and so I purchased it. However, I'm supposed to be paying them monthly. In the first month I paid them $150 dated 11/10/2008 and I called them up today to cancel it after looking at all the complaints online. How can I stop future payments to them. The cancellation policy involves sending them my name and address on a slip of paper, along with the mileage reading notorized and signed by me. How will I ever get a confirmation of sending these materials. I'm really really worried here...and I'd appreciate any help from anyone on this forum who could help me. Please Please help. Can I close my bank account...will that affect me legally? How do I just stop future payments...they say I have to pay 10% of the total amount to cancel! Please help...

    Re: Dealer Services Warranty

I strongly suggest you contact the Insurance Commissioner of the state you reside in.  Ask for the Consumer Protection Unit.  In most states, these entities are registered as "service contract providers" , rather than insurers, and are regulated more loosely than actual insurance companies.

For consumers in the state of Washington encountering problems with these warranty companies or any insurers, please contact our office at (800) 562-6900.  For other states, go to www.naic.org and you will find a link to your state's insurance regulatory agency.  In some states, these entities also fall under the jurisdiction of the state attorney general's office.
