It's time to kick off the 2008 Farmers market season !
First, if you are a vendor and have questions feel free to email us or call 963-0642. Over the next few days we will
get back to you or respond as appropriate. Be sure to leave good contact information. Vendor paperwork will be
available starting at 3 PM on Monday June 2nd as you arrive to set up. Stop by the Greater Mexico Chamber
of Commerce booth and pick up the forms.
Many new vendors have inquired for the market season and we are looking forward to positive growth for this
venue. Throughout the spring, summer and early fall we will use email to reach many of you and welcome your
comments and ideas. As always, please forward this to anyone in your address book that you feel would
benefit from the information.
The first market happens Monday June 2nd starting promptly at 4 PM. Please bring the children as special guests
Yogi and Boo Boo (residents of The Yogi Bear Campground in Mexico) will be visiting with us.
The First United Methodist Church of Mexico will be selling candy bars as part of a fund raising effort to send
congregation children to summer camps Casowasco and Aldersgate. The group will also offer 200th
Anniversary commemorative items for sale
Many other exciting guests will join us throughout the season ! Stay tuned for updates.
The first Monday of every month classic and specialty vehicles are welcome to show off !!! Pass the word to all
car owners. The coffee will be on !
Food choices will once again be available should you feel like taking a night off from the kitchen and cooking !
We will continue to offer two spaces at no fee for non-profit groups. Please email or call if you have an
interest. Dates will be given first come first served. Non-profits will not be allowed to compete with our vendors
who pay a fee to set up a booth. Slpace of this kind is still available for June.
Once again this year no raffles or games of chance will be allowed at the market.
Finally, we hope to see lots of shoppers ! Spread the word ! If our market is to continue to grow and become
a place for the community to gather our vendors must feel their efforts are supported.
