Arts and Wine Festival Discount Tickets Available
Advanced sale discount tickets for the wine tents at the Second Annual Cortland Arts and Wine Festival are now available online. Each ticket will save $3.00 off the wine tent admission as well as reduce the amount of time a person has to spend in line. The full ticket price for the wine tents will be $15.00 (still a great bargain for the number of wineries) and the advanced sale tickets will be $12.00. Access to everything else at the festival is free. The only charge is for admission to the wine tents. The tickets may be purchased with cash, check or securely with credit card through PayPal at the festival website www.cortlandartsandwine.com. All it takes is a few clicks of the mouse.
The Second Annual Arts and Wine Festival will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Courthouse Park in Cortland.
It’s already shaping up to be bigger and better than last year’s very successful event. With over a month to go before the final deadline for vendors, there are already more wineries and food vendors signed up than last year.
The festival will continue with the juried art show and sale, the great food and classical and semi-classical music throughout the day. New this year is that the first 1,000 people going to the wine tents will receive a free commemorative wine glass with the festival logo along with the Taster’s Guide listing all of the wineries, the wines being presented with room for your own comments, the list of artists and food vendors and the musical program for the day. Also, there will be a pick-up service so that visitors may enjoy the rest of the festival without having to carry their purchases around with them.
“With the success we had last year and the way vendors are already signing up, we have every reason to believe that this year’s show will be even bigger and better,” said David Blatchley, the festival coordinator. “While we have a lot of local artists, we also have a lot of artists applying front out-of-state – Pennsylvania and New Jersey. This may well become a regional event.”
