PHOTOS REQUESTED FOR SPECIAL MEMORIAL DAY TRIBUTE
The City of Syracuse Dept. of Parks, Recreation and Youth Programs, together with the Eastwood American Legion Post 1276, will be presenting a Memorial Day Concert on Sunday, May 25, at the Palace Theater, featuring the Stan Colella Orchestra. The show will begin at 2 p.m. The Palace is located at 2384 James Street, in Eastwood.
During the concert’s intermission, there will be a pictorial tribute, with photos of friends and loved ones who died while serving our country.
If you wish to honor your loved one by including his/her photo in this tribute, please email the picture to jsatalin@ci.syracuse.ny.us, and include his/her name; rank and military branch; years of service, if known; and any other information you may feel pertinent. Photos can also be mailed to the Special Events Division, City Parks & Recreation, 412 Spencer St., Syracuse, NY 13204.
Deadline is Friday, May 9.
The concert is also presented with support from Veterans Fasteners.
The concert is free and open to the public, with plenty of free parking on James Street and in the lot behind Pomco and in the Pomco lot at Eastwood Road and Grant Boulevard.
