Everything is still a go with Monday night's rain event. We had brief lull around news time as the rain tapered off over the Finger Lakes but that didn't last long. Check this composite radar image from around 6:45 PM and look at all the rain back over western New York and Pennsylvania. That still has to come over us this evening and it looks heavier than what we've seen so far:

Behind that area of rain the precipitation really shuts down quickly and we should see more like scattered showers. I was looking at observations earlier and snow isn't too far to our west, on the west end of Lake Ontario around Toronto. As low pressure (now over western PA) moves into New England later tonight our winds turn from the north to west and we should cool. There should be some wet snow that falls before daybreak but it should amount to much, perhaps a slushy inch over higher elvations
