Football Team Lands #1 & #2 Recruits in the State

It's some good news for the Syracuse University football program. Thursday afternoon, Christian Brothers Academy Wide Receiver Marcus Sales, pictured on the right, signed a letter of commitment to Syracuse University. He's the number 2 ranked prospect according to Rivals.com.

NewsChannel 9 has learned Averin Collier, the state's #1 ranked recruit will pick Syracuse as well.

#1 & #2 coming to 'Cuse this Fall? Will it make a "Sudden Impact?"

It's Basketball season and focus on it is relentless around here.  But, SU fans, this is huge.  Big time players, #1 and #2 in the state will draw a supporting cast that will return this program to past success. Im keepin my season tickets, I know it's Flynn, Green, and the giant in the middle season, but this story will pay dividends worth an early investment. Go SU [means all sports]

What the hell were they thinking when they decided to play for Syracuse? lol

Best of luck to them. I hope the team doesn't hold them back from their true potential

What are these kids thinking ?  Gonna go with a LOSING team ????

Two good recruits aren't gonna save Robinson's job - they NEED more than just two high school stars to improve !

 Good Luck !

Let’s hope that our coaches have the talent to train these outstanding high school players to compete at the college level.  We all want to make SU a winning team and perhaps this new blood will help.

Titantic? The nay sayers are already at it!!! As I said before: A strategic plan was made and adjustments have been made. A new offensive coordinator with attainable goals has been hired. He has a sensible approach to all of this. These new recruits will usher pco_01 and ondagawood to the life boats where they will feel safer.
Sail on S.U>...full speed ahead!!!!

hey dwayne so all this time Robinson and the team did not have a plan or made adjustments? wasn't Robinson a person with attainable goals?? Look what he has done.  I guess it can't any worse.  Full speed ahead to Buffalo for our only win again.

it will have little to no impact what so ever. when SU was good local prospects were considered almost as walkons unless they were as good as like a Tim Green, Jeff Lowe, etc etc. Central NY football is at its highest AA programs. Getting the 250th ranked prospect out of Texas California Florida or some mediocre kid out of Ohio or Pennsylvania is better that 1 and 2 in Upstate NY. Dont be fooled by the media hype of some loca prospects CNY back in the 80-90's when Syracuse was at times a very powerful team it was EXPECTED to get local recruits and an honor to local kids to be good enough to play on the practice team.

Hey media lets us know when we land, oh i dunno, a Quarterback out of Chicago with the last name McNabb, someone that will make an impact not another over-hyped receiver from CBA.

Hey smallz ...how about a kid out of Onondaga named Mike Hart?  pco_01, you missed my earlier post about a strategic plan with adjustments. It was on another thread similar to this. The jettison of the offensive coordiantor was an adjustment. It can get worse with more turnover. Look at the commenst these recruits have made about the Coach.

Where are the offensive line recruits? That is what we really need for any other offensive player to succeed.
