Why is this such a big upset as everyone is saying?
The G-MEN played outplayed the pats in the final game of the season and should have won that game too!
The Best team won are THE SUPER BOWL CHAMPS!
Congrats to our G-MEN!

Not so big an upset. The sign were there that the Patriots were Vulnerable. The Giants Defense did their thing roughing up Brady and the offense stepped up to seal the deal. Giants Baby!!!

All I have to say is what a game....Im not a Giants fan...but I have much mor erespect for Eli, plaxico, and coughlin...but my hats off to the REAL MVP....David Tyree (GO Syr. Univ.) without his TD catch and that "how the F**k did he catch that".....then we wouldn't be having this discussion

This was one of the most exciting super bowls in recent years.  Forget the commercials, it was the game that was worth watching.  I normally don't watch a game from start to finish, but I couldn't miss any part of this game.  And I'm NOT a Giant fan, but was sooooooooooooo happy to see them beat the Patriots!!

Even though I don't follow either team that played in the Greatest Game of the year, the Super Bowl.  I would like to congratulate the New York Football Giants in their crushing defeat.  Being a long time Pittsburgh Steelers fan I enjoy watching Tom Brady getting crushed by one of the NFL's best front 7.  Hats off to the Giants on squashing the high hopes and dreams of those terrible New England Patriots.  P.S Don't forget Patriots the Steelers and every other team in the NFL will be looking for some well deserved revenge next Season!!!

AWESOME game..Congrats to all the Giant players and to Tom. Tom you have made Waterloo proud.  Instead of being the Birthplace of Memorial Day it should be the Home of the Super Bowl XLII Champs Coach.

Great game.  I disagree about the greatest upset in Superbowl history.  The better team won.  The giants proved that in week 17.  I am a Bills fan so I do have a bitter taste in my mouth from 1991. Oh well,  Great game.

The picture in Monday's Post-standard sports section says it all, with Strahan standing, muscles flexed, over Brady on the ground.  A well deserved victory for our beloved G-Men, and a great congrats to SU's David Tyree, way to shine when it counts. 12 point favorites? I had to laugh, the Patsies only beat them by 3 in week 17, talk about being over-hyped. Congratulations New York Giants, Superbowl Champions again.
