In a statement on his website Friday night, Barry Bonds said the San Francisco Giants will not be bringing him back to play in 2008.

It was just this season that Bonds became the all-time home run leader.  But this season has not been successful for the Giants.

In the website entry, Bonds said, "I would have loved nothing more than to retire as a Giant."  He says he plans on finding a new team for next season.
