Does anyone remember this horrific crime? I remember when the news hit, and the police were looking for the murderer. If I remember correctly, this woman's son rode his bike to this families home, raped the young daughter, tied up the young son and parents and killed them all. It seems like with the internet era comes headlines like these all the time from across the country and we kind of get used to them. We read the story, agree how terrible it was, and move on. This one was different though. Crimes like this were virtually inheard of, but this one was local and it was so blatantly horrible. No wonder why the investigator planted the mother's fingerprints. I am not saying he was right to do so, certainly not, but there was such an outcry for the police to find the killer and bring him/her to justice that when the son was found to have done it, well, I'm just not surprised that she didn't have more to do with it then using the stolen credit cards afterwards. Did she know at the time where he got the cards and HOW he got them? Does it matter? She USED them! I can't believe now the State of New York is going to PAY HER a settlement! How can that be justice??? There's something definitely wrong with that...

I do remember this crime and the outcome of our justice system. Shirley Kinge is just as guilty as her scum bag son. She was caught using the credit cards stolen from the family after the murders. Her scumbag son lived with scumbag mommy, also scumbag Shirley Kinge work for the family as a cleaning lady. It doesn't take a mental giant to figure this one out. The sad part of this is the police didn't put a bullet in her head also. Instead this scumbag will be rewarded a large sum of money knowing she is just as guilty as her scumbag son and have no remorse what so ever. The police knew she was in on it (remember the stolen credit cards) but could not put her at the scene when the crime was commited. The only thing they could arrest her for was trying to use the stolen credit cards. So they planted some finger prints on a gas can to put her at the crime scene. I know what the police did was not right, but they knew she was in on this crime and more than likley the master mind behind it. Like I said the police should have found away to put a bullet in her head.

The sad thing is she probley is guilty of abbetting and covering up for her son. Just because some over zelious investigator. In order to make charges stick on Shirley. And they say crime doesn't pay? What a bunch of horses**t that phrase is. What's next, she sues for the malicious death of her piece of s**t son? Probably would win that too as we coddle criminals and screw the victims, some justice system. Anybody out there see the movie The Star Chamber? Now that's true justice.

Let's hope some surviving relative of the Harris family gets wind of this and files a civil suit again Ms. Kinge.  Nothing would please me more than to see her sued penniless and living homeless under a bridge somewhere.

this lawsuit should never have resulted in any gain for her other than being told, oh, sorry for that extra charge, oh well, you still are guilty of the rest of it. Never should she receive money for it! This is worse than the burgular who broke into a home, slipped on a throw rug beneath the window he was climbing in, broke his leg, sued the homeowner and WON! At least he didn't directly or indirectly KILL anyone! What about that woman who sued McDonalds after she put the hot coffee between her thighs and burned herself? These people who win these type of lawsuits make me sick. Judges should be throwing more of these out of court. The courts are so backlogged with crap like this.
