Life sucks!

You can't ask why. And for all the folks who have died that the news (and your station) covers, there are thousands and thousands who don't get the same attention.

I just lost a brother to brain cancer right before Christmas (no one knew he had it and he died within 2 months), and my twin sister just found out she has breast cancer and has to have a double mastectomy and chemo.

No one out there is feeling my pain or my family's.

I do see what you are saying--that one identifies with it and can feel and understand what one is going through.

But how about the tears and comfort for folks who die who don't make the headlines or aren't jocks, or famous?

I apologize, Dan, and don't mean to be out of line.

But--what is up with everyone someone dies or has a bad day, a benefit is held? Doesn't anyone today have a savings account or life insurance?

Re: Benefits....Sometimes the life insurance is the first thing cut when money is short and a savings account is unheard of for these families. They need every bit of their money for food, gas, and other necessities...those who can afford should offer our help during these families times of need. Even if we all gave a tiny amount, it adds up for these people in times of dire need. They are all young and don't think about saving for the unthinkable. I say, help out when you can, and you'll see the rewards.

No one wants or expects trajedy to strike in their own backyard. But when it does, we as humans can give our prayers, support, and unconditional love to those that are hurting the most. We had a friend's son (22 yrs. old) killed on MC accident, a six year old student from my wife's school die from MV accident, and another 16 yr old local boy die from MV accident. The list has been very long in recent weeks of loss of life from various forms of tragedies in central NY, and whether young or old, it isn't easy for the communities and families to cope with such heartache. I pray for all those who read this to give your loved ones a hug and a kiss and TELL them how much you love and appreciate them. God Bless America !

amy--I know what you are saying. But it seems like every time someone dies or has to go into the hospital donations are wanted.

This donation stuff has grown bigger and bigger. At one time it really was meant for help. The benefits and stuff were for those in dire need. But now it seems that it is now an everyday occurrence. If someone falls on hard times or dies, a benefit it held. Like it its expected or a right or something.

I give to some benefits, but it's getting to the point that enough is enough.

Every sad story touches someone in a unique way. Just give ,feel and reach out if you feel it in your heart. People know when your genuine. Stand for what you feel,so broken hearts arme,t faced to fall for anything. God Bless all your hearts and losses, please!!!!!

Compassion. Don't forget, when bad things happen to you, they happen to all.... all around the world. It doesn't make it any easier to cope, but if you remember when something tragic happens, there are others out there suffering just like you, maybe you wont' need to ask the question why. It just is.. Its called life, and at times its very trying.
