From the Newsroom

TMN Thoughts?

Just like many of us use the arrival of a new year to start fresh or work on a few things, we're looking to do the same here at NewsChannel 9.  We'd like your input on The Morning News.  What more (or less) can we do to help you start your day?   Is there any kind of news or information we're lacking?   We truly consider our relationship with you as a partnership, and value any suggestions you may have to offer.  Thanks and Happy New Year.

I think you should add more Education News about what's going on inside our schools? I think it would be a great idea.

I am wondering why no one notices the snowmobiles speeding through the streets and snowmobile trails.  Although there is a speed limit, common knowledge tells us it is not enforced (re: Jenn Lewke during the summer reporting on the fatal hit & run boat accident on Onieda Lake, said Oswego Sheriffs do not have the money to patrol trails properly), I say close the trails then.  I see a goldmine in ticket fines out there.  I have never seen a snowmobile go 35 mph, they fly, cars can't, watch them on the trails, upwards of 80 mph. Stop by the Square Valley's Clubhouse on Smith Rd,  not too many sober riders there, have a few drinks and hit the road again.  Isn't 2 the legal limit?  No roadblocks for the cars leaving the place either...Stop in unannounced the next big snowfall, see for yourself, NEWS is under your nose.

I would love to see some WIERD NEWS....
EXAMPLE
Cat that called 911 to save the owner's life [recent news story on ABC NEWS]
Or a long time ago one = POWER WHEELCHAIR bound driver got pulled over for DWI [driving a wheelchail while impared]....  The poor guy was weaving all over the road in his powerwheelchair
The WIERD news = often is the funnier side of the hard core news

I think you should have the name below the birthday photos, it is very hard to understand the names because when you say the name, you are not seen but the photo is.

I'd like to see more on the news and a little less on weather.  More than the evening news, but less than now.  It seems like EVERY break has the weather.

I say keep the "weather first." I like it, and for any newcoming viewers they get the weather right then and there, no 30 minute wait.

Did your sports guy really just say "He steps in and shows her how it's done?" Hmmm...I wonder if that comment would have been made if Driscoll (or any man) had thrown the pitch. I've seen many politicians make horrible opening pitches at stadiums, but have never heard that comment. Careful, your sexist attitude is showing!
